Personal Property Exemptions
Florida law provides for two personal property exemptions - one in the Florida constitution and the other in Florida Statutes. $1,000.00 of personal property is exempt under the Florida Constitution. In addition, a further $4,000.00 of personal property is exempt under Florida Statute to those who do not "claim or receive the benefits of a homestead exemption."
